Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-08-21T09:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-08-21T09:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N04W88
Active Region Number: 14507
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
CHP: CME - Coronal Hole Proximity
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: This CME is visible to the NW in SOHO LASCO C2 before a data gap, to the NW in GOES CCOR-1, and as a halo with the bulk portion directed to the W/NW in STEREO A COR2 imagery. The source for this CME is a long duration M1.6 flare from Active Region 14507 (N04W88) as seen in SDO/AIA 131 with associated moving/opening field lines visible in SDO/AIA 193, 171, and GOES SUVI 284. Other source features include an EUV wave best seen in SDO/AIA 193 and GOES SUVI 284, brightening in STEREO A EUVI 304, and dimming in STEREO A EUVI 195. Post eruptive arcades are visible in all main wavelengths from SDO/AIA, GOES SUVI, and STEREO A EUVI. These various source features are visible starting as early as 2026-08-21T09:00Z through 2026-08-21T12:12Z.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
